Awful in this. To put her in a movie with Stanwyck really shows what a talentless actress she was. This was even before she started the breathy, bimbo blond that she perfected. Plus was quite plump in this movie! The more she tried to draw attention to herself the more I felt pity for her, I was actually quite embarrassed for her. Besides Monroe, the movie was great. Thank goodness I can fast forward through her "acting" scenes.

I was actually impressed with her performance and thought she was better in this than her later performances as Marilyn the big star. She certainly wasn't plump either.

Both BS and MM are with at least one man so I doubt Mae was macking on MM. I think these type of questions come up as MM was just about to become one of the biggest sex symbols of her era.
In the beginning of Niagra just a year later it appears she is in bed and naked under a sheet after possibly just pleasuring herself. Not to mention she is having sexual relations with both her husband and a lover on the side and still finds time to flirt with college boys.
As for this flick Mae was a user and if a rich lesbo was in the picture she prolly would have made a bee line straight for her. MM (who was 25 or 26 playing a 20 year old) while perhaps a bit naive and inexperienced in life outside of her small community she was however strictly dickly (hetero) IMO. Although had Mae plyed MM with enough alcohol she may have experimented a little bit like a sorority girl in one of OP's girly porns.

I thought she shined in all of her scenes. As for looking plump, I think she was just wearing an unflattering pair of jeans. She looked like her usual slender self in her other costumes for the movie.

i totally disagree with you,.
MM was fantastic. her character was her - she worked in factory before hollywood.
without MM this film would be dull - it would be like a christmas tree without a decoration on the top. she gives it that special spark,
i only wish she ever had a good and loving husband in real life - the one like in this movie, she might be alive today.

If you read the OP's previous posts, it's easy to see that he/she is a very negative individual. Or, perhaps he's hoping that trolling will be an Olympic sport one day, in which case, I'm pretty sure that he's guaranteed to win at least a bronze medal.

Oh geez, I missed the "plump" comment in the OP. Yeah, credibility was lost at that moment.

You may possibly have a terminal case of ' panties-in-bunch-itis '. Marilyn Monroe wasn't a talentless actress. And, what does her weight have to do with anything. Think about increasing your medication.

I actually thought she was quite good in this. It was certainly different than her usual roles (before she was stereotyped as the ditzy blonde). She's obviously not on the same level as Stanwyck or her other costars but already there is something special about her.
Sweet merciful crap!
