Earl, the Chinese expert. Can not only "SPEAK" Chinese, but apparently tells Jerry all about 'em, as in "Earl says the Chinese have babies right out in the field." Even when STRANGLING Earl, Jerry can't forget those "wonderful" Chinese imitations as he shouts "Imitate Chinese, Earl! Imintate Chinese!" Jerry throwing the alarm clock like Godzilla throwing a car. Jerry always stalking around the house like a clumsy bear. Uncle Vince, always a hoot. " They run off together, leaving ya wit a squalling, disagreeable infant!" Jerry; "No I WAN'T Gloria!" Vince: "See what I mean? No regard for a father's feelin's." Earl who vasilates between arrogance and self-pityin the blink of an eye. Mae: violently resisting Earl's clumsey advances, and then shoves her hands under his "wife beater." Any more?

Earl lights two cigarettes and hands one to Mae - like Paul Henreid does in "Now Voyager" (1942), handing it to Bette Davis who accepts it. Mae, however, takes it, looks at it for a second, then tosses it over her shoulder off the porch at the beach club they're at and then gets her own cigarette. Ha! Must not have been her brand, I guess. Ha ha!
