<p dir="auto">Why are they so upset when their son decides to become a priest?  I understand that show business is the family business, but they are also practicing Catholics.  I would think they would be proud, but they seem devastated by the news.</p>

<p dir="auto">As well as breaking up the act, there may have been an additional thought in the mother's mind. Priesthood means celibacy. There would be no grandchildren coming from Steve for her. So not so much chance of more family closeness with that son.</p>
