<p dir="auto">Had to look up that quote accredited to Reagan, and here's the full story:<br />
Reagan pulled a Bushism by misquoting John Adams who said in 1770 that "Facts are stubborn things" to indicate that facts tell the honest truth.<br />
It was a verbal slip that Reagan immediately corrected. The full sentence is, "Facts are stupid things  stubborn things, should I say." Anti-Reagan people only give the first part of the quote or if it's a clip, they cut it before Reagan corrects himself. This was from a major speech delivered at the 1988 Republican Convention.<br />

<p dir="auto">in the WT novelization, they even mention Phenix City. Havent seen the JDB version of WT in a long time so I cant tell you if they reference it in the movie<br />
