I love this movie. It was briefly re-released in cinemas here in the UK last year, and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not it would be released on disc here any time soon?

Yes, I just watched the BFI dvd hired from Lovefilm. Very good movie.

I remember reading somewhere that the British Film Institute will release it in association with 20th Century Fox as they did with the Preminger films. It was scheduled for mid-2006, but no sign of it yet! anybody know anything more?

It has also been released in Spain in PAL format on DVD. English with optional Spanish subtitles (or dubbed in Spanish with English subtitles). Excellent picture quality and I highly recommend it if you like the movie. It is in 16:9 aspect so you get the full Cinemascope affect. The Spanish title is Mas Poderoso que la Vida.

It's available of DVD in France as Derrire le miroir - http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000BM2P96 - English with removable French subtitles 16x9 widscreen. Excellent quality.
