I vaguely remember watching Peter Gunn way back when probably in syndication, mostly the opening credits and commercial break graphics. And I could picture Craig Stevens playing the role.
After watching some episodes recently on RTV, holy cow! Some guy electrocutes his wife by flooding the basement floor with wash water & shorting out the overhead light.
A armored car driver takes two bullets in the ear from his partner and then the partner takes two in the TOP of his head!
And both incidents happen before the opening credits!
Between this show and the Untouchables (yes, I know it took place in the 30's), the fifties was a dangerous time for an impressionable youngster to grow up in!

I am sure that a lot of young people watching this show concluded the fist fights were common and people didn't get hurt very badly in them.

Tor Johnson! I don't blame you. The opening of Chiller Theater with Tor, Bela and Vampira scared the heck out of us as kids. It wasn't until I was an adult that I saw all of Plan 9.

May those who love us, love us; and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.
