I recently watched (2012) an episode from the Alfred Hitchcock Hour starring Lola Albright, Barry Nelson and George Kennedy called "Misadventure." Its a very strange tale of a suburban housewife who is married to a stingy George Kennedy(wearing glasses and playing quite the oaf), having an affair with another manand "home invaded" by a very strange fellow played by Barry Nelson.
Albright is a few years out of "Peter Gunn" in this show, still quite beautiful (and so damn TAN that she practically looks burnished), but just a bit aging and "shopworn." Its a fine performance, sexy too.
Around this time, Albright would appear in a movie for which she is pretty renowed, George Axelroad's weird, funny Los Angeles "Beach Blanket Black Comedy" "Lord Love a Duck" , in which Albright plays an "Aging Playboy Bunny" (complete with tights and cotton tail) who must compete with her pretty teen daughter(Tuesday Weld) for the affection of men. Albright was again, tan, sexy and kinda sad in this role.
So there you have it: Peter Gunn, "Misadventure," "Lord Love a Duck" three good things made better by having Lola Albright in them.
And extra "Sexy Points" for being named "Lola."
Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets

Just watched four episodes from the first season, and I was disappointed in the show. It wasn't nearly as hip as the musical score would indicate and it was obviously filmed on a really cheap budget.
When I saw it aired on TV originally I thought it much betterof course I was only 10 at the time. What I noticed about Lola was how much of a world weary Peggy Lee vibe she gave off both on stage and in some of her scenes with Peter.

The proof she did her own singing is it is just adequate singing. Her voice is very limited and definitely sounds like her speaking voice. Whenever there was another female vocalist on the show the difference is obvious. Those girls could sing.

I admit to liking her as Elizabeth Collins, in an ep of The Incerdible Hulk. But then she was good in anything.

hi Joseph. Yes, I would love to have Lola"s address. She was Special. The only decent roles she ever had were EDIE, IRIS & MARIE. What a waste, but at least she left us with those memorable ladiesAL

After
3 years
you may well have moved on. I've just started to watch "Peter Gunn" on DVD and I too would like to know more about Lola Albright. If you have any luck finding the answer to your question, be sure to post it.
