I really would feel optomistic if this was being done by another network and Shawn Ryan or Rob Thomas was involved. I really think ther is a void for dark PI drama. Shaggy dog styling of Veronica Mars and Terriers were entertaing, smart, and rich. Yet caught on past a colt audience. The summary so far makes it seem like the remake will be a mix of procedural with soap opera elements.
I Imagined more of an east coast mob associate get's out of prison moves to west coast.to work with his cousin. End up having to balance his services jobs with his unique fixer skills while working for the rich.
I Know it work better for the original keep his origins and past shrouded in mystery. So it probably should be essential that they continue that.

In 1989, there was a TV filmprobably a pilot, starring Peter Strauss, as Gunn. It wasn't bad, but, for whatever reasonnever was developed.
