Prior to the Darryl Hannah remake,I recall a couple of spoofs on the giant lady.In a music video,"Call Me",performed by the rock group,GO WEST,a gigantic beauty is seen entering a town and tearing the roof off one of the buildings,a la Allison Hayes, and extends her hand to grasp the musicians. This is seen at the top of the video prior to the song and repeated throughout the song.Could this woman be the Kanye West person someone inquired? On an episode of the SUPERFRIENDS cartoon, there was a 7 minute story simply titled,"The Fifty Ft. Woman",where a female scientist, named Dr.Amy Zahn (a parody on the word 'Amazon') consumed a formula making herwell you guessed it. Anyone out there know any other parody spoofs on the 50 Ft.Woman?

Recently, there is Attack of the 50Ft Cheerleader.
The title should be plural, because there are two of them and they end up fighting each other on the football field, complete with play-by-play from the announcers.

Actually, this film was spoofed as early as 1959 as THE THIRTY FOOT BRIDE OF CANDY ROCK starring Lou Costello. It was Costello's last film and only feature without Bud. Sadly, the film is not very funny. Most of the gags are lame or worn out and the film cluttered with all kinds of sub plots. Costello also goes way over the top, probably due to not having Abbott to play off. Poor Lou died before the film was released. I always think that had he lived to see it, he would have given up the idea of being a solo performer and gotten back with Bud Abbott. Its sad to think that this poor film was last from such a great comic.

One of my favorites is National Lampoon's "Attack of the 5'2" Women" (1994), which I'm fortunate enough to have on the original VHS. It consists of 2 stories, starring (and partly directed by) Julie Brown. Based on a couple of newsworthy stories of the time, Julie plays a certain ice skater by the name of Tonya Hardly, and one Lenora Babbit, who makes "the unkindest cut of all".
