Just to let the reviewer know, Carve Her Name With Pride was based on the true story of Violet Szabo. Odette was based on the true story of Odette Churchill. They were both quite unique people who did both choose to serve their country in World War II the way as depicted in the films. There were plenty of others - both men and women - who did similar things. Their contribution was extraordinary, and there are plenty of histories of them and the organisation many of them worked for - Special Operations Executive (SOE). Do try to find these, but I'm glad you found the movie a revelation.
