A technical advisor on board during filming had to go uncredited, because he was a real-life chain gang escapee who was still a wanted man
What I'm wondering is, does anyone know how the film crew came into contact with a wanted criminal who was in hiding from the law? And how did they coax him into being a consultant for the movie? Very interesting indeed.
