Handsome doesn't do him justice. He was sex personified in this movie. I could feel the steam rising off my laptop screen.

There really hasn't been a Paul Newman type before or since. It's hard to call anyone unique but I really don't see anyone who Newman really derives from.

One of the most handsome actors to ever hit Hollywood and I buy many of his products too. Joanne Woodward and he are a great couple. Lucky too. He is a nice person as well.(to donate all proceeds from his products to charity)

Check out all of his food products, whose profits go straight to the various charities he's established
lol, when I was a little kid I had never seen any of his movies and used to refer to him as the condiments guy(it's amazing how many people mis-hear that
) because I was used to seeing his face on bottles and packets of ketchup and mayo etc.
There are many actors and actresses who are generous with their time and money, doing great things for charity and education
Agreed but I think his efforts had something extra special about them in that he created charities that were capable of self supporting by generating their own income through his products. He wasn't asking people to give just because he's Paul Newman and he says so, he was giving people something in return for their generosity (namely salad dressing but still
) How many celebs nowadays have multi million dollar product empires of clothes and jewellery and fragrances? i know it's foodstuffs so it's markedly different but he had a product line long before it was in vogue and he used the opportunity and his name recognition for good in an as yet unparalleled capacity.
