lol your "typo" statement reminded me of the reply of a drunk friend of mine when i told him he was getting messy "Don't call ME a dressy munk!" (he meant "messy drunk")

The dentist I go to has a TV on the ceiling so that you can watch cable TV while you're in the chairunless he has to do some really close-in work on your teeth.
I should ask him if he has a DVD player, and look for my bootlegged DVD of ONIONHEADand take it along when I go there. The pain of watching this movie would make me numb to the pain of the dental work.
Maybe I won't even need any novocaineit's THAT bad!

i spent 10 years of my life watching Ishtar one night i should have gone to the dentist instead.

I sure wish I had seen the Onionhead that you guys saw. This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen! It made me want to go and rent Ishtar, it was so bad.

The David guy was trolling/joking, Artista. There's no such thing in the movie.

He has a car accident? I have never seen the movie and thought about getting it from Netflix but now it is ruined.

I only wish he hadn't had the car accident at the end becoming a vegetable no wonder they called it "Onionhead"

I also recorded and watched it. What a great, fun movie!

I too recorded this film and the wife and I are enjoying it right now as I type this.
I don't know about comparing it to the book or comparing it to one of the greats. We are enjoying it however, because it is somewhat predictable and light hearted and it also has some very funny moments. Andy Griffin shows much more depth here and that means a lot to the whole movie. The supporting actors play their parts well too. We just want to be entertained and we are.

Over a beer last night I was talking with another movie buff about Andy Griffith and mentioned "Onionhead" was one of my favorites, then realized I had not seen it for years (over 35 and as a teen). When I got home I looked it up and thanks to your posting saw it was on this morning. I am watching right now as it is being TIVOed. Thanks
