The bat was part of this series on television in about 1960. The Cat and the Canary was as well. I wish there were prints avaliable of this series.

Of the seven episodes of the Dow Hour of Great Mysteries it looks as though The Bat is the only one to survive. I look forward to seeing Helen Hayes playing the part of Cordelia Van Gorder in that one.

There is a dvd of the TV version from Sinister Cinema and I bought it. I was surprised at the quality, considering it is a kinescope.
