<p dir="auto">I recently saw the movie Doctor X, which was made in 1932, and in that movie they have a character named Dr. Wells, and while it has no apparent connection to any versions of The Bat, I couldn't help but think in this version we not only have a Dr. Wells but one of Cornelia's books is called The Private Morgue of Doctor X.</p>

<p dir="auto">I don't know how the research is going. But to muddy the waters even further, there is also a Dr. Wells in Gildersleeve's Ghost (1944).</p>
