While looking online for a screenplay for
A Bucket of Blood
I came across the screenplay for the remake,
The Death Artist

It's pretty much a word for word transcription of the original, except most of the beatnik slang was taken out, since in this case it's basically the same story transposed onto the alternative art scenes of the early 90s. I can't imagine how anyone could have rightfully taken a new screenwriting credit for thisthe (re)writer's plagiarism is only justified by the fact that this is called a "remake" of Corman's film.
On that note I feel I must mention that anyone who's seen this film and is looking for a more modern satire of the art world, with a touch of murderous antics, Terry Zwigoff and Daniel Clowes'
Art School Confidential
is the true spiritual successor to
A Bucket of Blood
.
