Maybe it was because I was sleep deprived, but the scene where Gramps is trying to cross the street was the most hilarious thing in this movie. My buddy and I were laughing for about a minute straight. Then, at parts where not much was happening, we'd say, "Meanwhile, Gramps is still trying to cross the street." Laughter ensued. If only Gramps had starred in a series of spin-off movies.

I thought I'd check in for the first time since 2008 to see how Gramps is doing.
He's across the street, so I can't tell him how much interest he is generating. I don't think he's been eating right; he looks a bit thin.

I know! What was up with Gramps? He acted like a half wit during most of the movie.
I love how he basically begged Derek to move in with him even though Derek had no clothes, luggage, stuff or money. Practically put out a welcome mat to a stranger for full access to his granddaughter.
No two persons ever watch the same movie.
