The 70s were the worst decade for cartoons for kids and these a$$holes were the reason. The animation was horrible, backgrounds non existent, same stupid sound effects and music. These guys came up with the worst characters in the history of animation. Just Google the cartoons these twits came up with! They cranked these cartoons out as fast as possible with the least amount of effort and being a child, this was it for me. I have no fond memories of Saturday morning cartoons, in fact I'm quite sure watching the crap they squeezed out, is the reason my generation is in such an emotional mess we are in!

LOL
Well, we kiddos didn't know they stunk.
HB were far better than the crappy and way cheaper cartoons nowadays written by adults winking at other adults and supposedly geared for kids to learn about innuendos and pop culture garbage.

However, I just went through your lists of worst and greatest and PRETTY much AGREED..and thank you for not just citing but PUTTING the very HOT BETTY GRABLE at TOP!!!! VERY underrated indeed, and don't forget that 1940s THING's most remember for TODAY: That pinup (and agreed also about Doris Day and Judy Garland, just to name a few, and also agree that Michael Jackson became an overrated HACK, just putting aside for the minute the scandals..)

80s were the worst. Actually 1967-68 started realisticdesign. If you mean the "Joe Ruby/Ken Spears written" and Alex Toth/Iwao Takamoto period of the 70s and Smurfy 80s, then you're onto to something (though all of the artist cited started out swell, Takamoto was even a top notch Disney dfesigner ,even in Alice in Wonderland which HB made when he came on..) The Flintstones were exc ellent uptil season 5 (despite "A Haunted House is not a Home" written by Tony Benedict and guest starring Hal Smith, and "Dr.Sinister" partly written by a future "Saved by the Bell" scribe, Sam Bobrick and guesting series regular (Barney, Dino) Mel Blanc (Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig) as Dr.SInister and fellow rgular Jean (Pebbles, Wilma), VanderPyl as the voice of slinky spy "Madame Yes.
