The heavy rain on the car foreshadows Marion's death in the shower.
Dis movie is good ****. Hitchcock put a lot of thought into it. I should watch it again. I ain't seen the original Psycho in years.

Yup, and good call on the future of Marion in the movie foreshadowed in her rain-drenched car window.
Another instance, as I ponder the issue: Martin Balsam's Milton Arbogast character's almost dainty, circumspect walk up the steps to the Bates house, where he meets a violent end on a
staircase
. Arbogast was wise in his cautious approach to the house, foolish in his conduct when he entered it.
