It didn't make sense. She was drunk and went to the hotel,
Burt kissed her so she slept with Burt, then killed herself
Made no sense to me; the whole psychodrama she was doing throughout the film. I guess she was just the ultimate drama queen.
Mean people suck.

He didn't sexually abuse her.
He kissed her and walked away.
She could have left it there but instead she pursued him which led to them sleeping together.
It's never made any sense to me.
She finds Bert repulsive. Why would she want to go anywhere near him let alone have sex with him?

Burt Gordon lied to her that Fast Eddie had left her and never wanted to see her again. Burt then sexually abused her through this deception.
Sarah has abandonment issues after her father deserted her for being a cripple. She became an alcoholic to cope with this trauma as it is her biggest fear. She lost all hope once she thought Eddie had left her. Essentially she died of a broken heart and PTSD.
