I last saw Seven Days in May on Amazon in HD. It looked OK. It would really shine on blu-ray.

Advise & Consent
has been out on DVD for many years. I'm not sure if it's out of print or not but it's still widely available. The same with
Seven Days in May
, which definitely is out of print, but it's on one of those TCM collections of four films I think Kirk Douglas.

Advise and Consent is great, too. Those two films could be released by Warner Archive.

Now Criterion must release Seven Days in May. That would be grand.
You took the words right out of my mouth (or off the IMDb page)! I've long had the same thought. But I doubt it will ever happen. Unfortunately
SDIM
is now owned by Warner, with which Criterion does not have a licensing agreement. So unless they either reach such an agreement sometime, or control of the film passes yet again to someone else, the odds seem remote to say the least.
Of course,
SDIM
was originally released by Paramount, with whom Criterion
does
have a licensing agreement. Too bad all around. Criterion would certainly restore the original Paramount logos at the beginning and end. Warner has this rotten habit of cutting out the logos of other studios whose films they came to control, though when that situation is reversed other studios retain the original Warner logos.
Another film I'd love to see Criterion release is
Advise & Consent
. But the same problem exists it was released by Columbia (with whom Criterion has a licensing agreement) but is currently owned by good old Warner.

I have the MGM blu but will definitely get this release. Terrific film! Now Criterion must release Seven Days in May. That would be grand.
