I really liked this episode, and of the first 12, it's now my second favorite, right behind
The Galaxy Being
. It was more
science fiction,
and less horror and noir than most episodes, and featured no "bear"
(monster).
This was a refreshing change of pace.
I was fascinated to discover that they
"cheated"
with the teaser. When we got to that scene, I thought,
"Wait a minute. This scene is
different
from the teaser."
I went back and looked at the teaser again, and By George, it WAS different!
AHA!
It's a minor SFX difference, and I'm wondering why they did that. I would now like to reexamine some of the teasers from other episodes to see if there was more cheating.
There was also one scene where one character inexplicably appears
transparent.
They mentioned this on the
We Are Controlling Transmission
website.
I also discovered that this was actually the
first
episode produced, but they were worried about it, and pushed it back to E12.
I now realize now that I had only seen
two
of the first 12 episodes, so I'm enjoying experiencing them for the first time. On WACT, they mentioned that the show aired on Monday nights at 7:30. Perhaps there was another show which I watched in that time slot.
