In a recent review, Shawne Keevan wrote that men might not like this movie as much as women. I saw the movie first-run when it was released, as a young man, and was thoroughly charmed. Haley Mills and the rest of the cast were spot-on, I always did like Burl Ives, and the musical numbers were fun. So some men might not appreciate this movie as much as girls but I liked it a lot. I'll have to rent it again soon since I haven't seen it in years. Haley was such a lovely young girl.
