Not a dual appearance, but there was once a late-night special on ABC called "The Horror Hall of Fame." It was hosted by Vincent Price and featured guest stars related to horror on movies and TV. John Astin was one of the guest stars, and they showed a brief clip from "The Addams Family" to introduce him. Since it was on ABC, there was no mention of "The Munsters," which was a former CBS show.
However, during the segment with Vincent and John, they were looking through some props and toys related to horror.
Vincent happened to pick up a hand puppet clearly patterned after Herman Munster, complete with his goofy grin. Vincent innocently commented that it looked like the Frankenstein monster, but John looked at it and said, "No, that looks like my buddy Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster."
I was just delighted at John, in effect, doing a plug for his competition. It was a nice moment.
So Herman Monster is suppose to ne Frankenstein, hana?

Thankfully they never did.
The Munsters is made up of legendary monsters.
The Addams Family is not.
They are just a bunch of weirdos that seems more realistic.

For me, it's like Highway to Heaven and Touched by an Angel. Always felt the shows just screamed "crossover", but (nevermind the issues) unfortunately never happened. That said, always wondered that too.

There is an article in the Nov. 7, '16 issue of "Closer" magazine that talks about both shows and interviews Butch Patrick ("Eddie") and Felix Silla ("Cousin Itt").

Only in fan fiction.
It'd be nice if something could be arranged; an animated Halloween special or comic would be nice.

No, they never appeared together.
During their original run, the two series were rivals of each other. Each was produced by different production companies and aired on different networks. In fact ABC only gave the green-light to
The Addams Family
in direct reaction to CBS's announcement of
The Munsters
. Producing a crossover episode between the two series was probably the last thing on the minds of the producers and the networks.
