Since the first time I saw it when I was a kid.
It should however, get some kind of an award for having the most obvious fake outdoor sets of all time. Every time I watch it I keep waiting for one of them to bump into a tree and knock it over.
I still love it every time I see it though

But what about the lakes, where he fished? Were they really man-made bodies of water? Right now I'm watching the movie and that is definitely a lake. Not a studio. Funny IMDb's location info doesn't mention which one it is.

I just saw it now and loved it!
Perfect except for one thingI wish that Jim Hutton had been the leading man. Nothing against Rock Hudson, but Jim and Paula had such great chemistry together
~~
Jim Hutton: talented gorgeous hot hunk; adorable as ElleryQueen; SEXIEST ACTOR EVER

I watch this periodically on DVD and it reminds me of when I first saw it in the 1960's. I enjoyed it then and still do. To me it is one of those films where I would love to know the "characters".

Great movie, but the outdoor sets are very visibly fake indeed. It is one of the greatest older (over 30 years old that is) comedies in my opinion though.
