Since I am over half a Century Old, and still enjoy a good laugh now & again, but can't seem to find many 'NEW' movies that actually make me laugh,I often pop in an 'Oldie' (Sheesh) but a Goodie such as this one. Still my fave Pink Panther movie and it still makes me laugh. It got me to thinking about Comedies I have seen in my time (many) and wondered if there were many IMDb'er's out there that have ever seen and liked the movie's (Comedy) I like (and remember) Best from the 1960's?
Here Goes,.(Drum Roll),..kicking off the decade,
(1) 1959-1969: "Some Like It Hot" The Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon & Marilyn Monroe Comedy Classic that was waaaaaaaay ahead of it's time and still make's me laugh til I hurt! Tony Curtis' impersonation/voicing of Cary Grant is priceless as is most everything Lemmon does.
(2)"A Shot In The Dark" IMO THIS is the funniest Pink Panther movie.
(3) "Dr. Strangelove" If you have not seen this movie yet,you are not a film buff nor a lover of laughter.
(4) "The Russian's Are Coming, The Russian's Are Coming. The first film I saw Carl Reiner in after The Dick Van Dyke Show. Johnathan Winter's steals every scene he's in.
(5)"Texas Across The River" A Dean Martin Joey Bishop laugh fest. Went with my family and my Uncle Rusty & his family and my Uncle was laughing so hard he almost fell out of his seat.
These are 5,anyone else???

I'm surprised nobody mentioned another of Peter Sellers' comedies of the 1960's:
The Party
(1968)
This film probably best captures the iconic Sixties: the music, fashion, dancing, popular slang, and the social and cultural undertones of the day (without regard for today's obsession with being PC). These are handled with subtle humor, simmering situations, and some classic slapstick, all delivered by one of the all-time greatest masters of impeccable comic timing.
It is not only one my favorite Sixties' flix, but one of my all-time favorite comedies.

many 'NEW' movies that actually make me laugh
It depends what you mean by new. There were a few good ones in the late 90s/early 00s. The Ice Storm is funny, though saying that might sound strange. I'd check out In & Out and Undercover Brother, two of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Going back a bit further, try some ZAZ: Airplane, the first two Naked Gun movies, the two Hot Shots! movies, Top Secret.

HAHAHAHAA! Good list! If I'm not mistaken, Send Me No Flower's is a 'remake' of something else from the 50's? I'm sure I saw that one (Doris Day?) and The Glass Bottom Boat should be on my list as well. Another zany 'Spy' romp with Doris Day, Dom Deluise, Paul Lynde, Rod Taylor et. al. Good clean movie, and very funny. Rock On!
