Does anyone know when MOLLY came to TV for the first time? I have a vague memory of it being on tv (in prime time) in the early 70's, and Johnny was singing his "Colorado" song. Then (being a little kid) I had to go to bed, so I never saw it again til 1981 when I was in college.

Yes, it came on television in the early 70s, and that is when I first became acquainted with the Titanic. My family was from Colorado, and we went to Denver and saw the Molly Brown mansion. Granted I was a big fan of this film, but I was quite fixated on the Titanic even more.

Thanks, you're probably right! I know it was in prime time, and I remember being fascinated by it, but not being able to stay up. I also know that it was on the CBS late movie some time in 1973/74-ish - I remember seeing the ad in the TV guide.

I believe it was a Thanksgiving night special in 1971. I remember I was in junior high school at the time and that was between '70 and '72. I could be wrong, my memory is a little hazey.
