The Native Americans are shown as nothing but savages. In reality, the Whites were the savages. I guess this is typical of Westerns of that time- Mid Sixties. What total BS from a historical standpoint. People fighting for survival and their own lands, but they were the evil villains. Garbage. Sam was a great director, but I can see why he wanted his name removed from this one.
At least they had some token Blacks, who had an air of dignity.
