I know the triva section claims Captain Black looks like Gregory Peck. But IMO the actor Black uncannily resembles is the '60s American actor Frank Overton (the TV series TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH). British audiences might best remember him in the films "Fail Safe" and, of all things, the Gregory Peck classic "To Kill a Mockingbird". I find it interesting that he tragically died in 1967, not long before CAPTAIN SCARLET premiered. Just before he died he was in an episode of STAR TREK ("This Side of Paradise"), but around the same time he played a memorable alien himself in the American TV series THE INVADERS ("Genesis").
