Because the jets were so small that only women could fit in them - seriously, this is the reason I read somewhere! Why there are no female Captains is just because it was made in the 60s. Then again, why the men are dressed in bright colours for a 'secret' organisation strikes me as stupid too. But cute show.

Having only five is stupid when you think about it. An organization as big as Spectrum should have way more than five pilots to protect their HQ (in the CGI series a Russian general even points this out, but Destiny laughably shoots him down for it). Also why the "women only" policy?

I think there were enough, but I wish they didn't concentrate so much on Destiny and Symphony. Melody and Rhapsody were always my favourites.
