<p dir="auto">In the last half of the episode, Kirk berates NOMAD;in what appears to be the engine room, for increasing the ship's efficiency in a way that risked destroying the Enterprise altogether.<br />
In an unfortunate turn of phrase, Kirk starts in with NOMAD by saying "You'll destroy my ship!" before explaining that the probe needed to undo the changes it had wrought.<br />
A good thing NOMAD had apparently been programmed to wait a few seconds before acting on an order from what it believes to be its creator and master; Captain Kirk.</p>
