I originally saw the remake with Tuesday Weld playing Holly Parker, I saw the original some time after. Imo a good plot and both actresses played the part well. Has anyone else seen the Tuesday Weld version?

i liked the Tuesday Weld version much better than Lana's version. don't get me wrong, Lana was very good in the later part of her movie as the drunken recluse but she was miscast in the earlier part of the film as a young wife and mother. Tuesday was much more age appropriate in her version. both versions were good but Tuesday was more believable as the young wife and mother

Yes, I liked it as well. Saw it back when it first aired on NBC, I think. Not as good as the Turner film-but very good.
