I felt the political cartoons throughout the movie surpassed the live action. I did a Google search to see if they were original or based on political cartoons of the time. They appear to be original ideas.

The animated sequences are brilliant. The rest of the film is so-so.

Being that they didn't have animated cartoons at the timeand I also read about it beforethose cartoons were made just for the movie. I'm SURE, however, the animators looked at a lot of drawings from back then to get every little thing right. With this movie, they were real sticklers for detail.
