<p dir="auto">I think this is the best Andrew V. McLaglen ever directed, and that's saying it's damn good. Also, IMHO, this is Jeremy Slate's best performance.</p>

<p dir="auto">My choice for Andrew V.'s best;  Shenandoah, which comes close to the best of John Ford, and McLintock as his second best.  But The Devil's Brigade is underrated.</p>
