Michael Dunn's brief role in No Way To Treat A Lady lent a bit of black humor to the scenario. As Mr. Kupperman, he tries to convince George Segal that despite his size, he was able to strangle the victims. When Segal expresses doubt that he could do it, Dunn gets mad and accuses Segal of being a bigot toward "little people." When Segal denies it, Dunn's rejoiner "Yeah, but would your sister to marry one." Considering the attitude toward mixed marriages at the time, this comment is unintentional funny.

I've relayed it to friends for years now.
It's a hilarious scene in a very fine movie –and why not? Written by William Goldman.
No less than Akira Kurosawa was a fan of it.
Dunne –poor guy. Little people have numerous health problems.
He made his mark though. Enjoyed a wonderful recurring villain character (Michelito Lovelace) in the original TV series, '
Wild Wild West'.
You just can't beat this pedigree.

It's intentionaly funny. The movie is a black comedy.
"You're a midget."
"Lotsa people are midgets."
How is that not intended to be funny?

I vote "intentionally funny," and best scene in the movie.

Saw nothing 'black' about the humor. Is certainly the funniest and might be the best scene in the movie.
Short Cut, Draw Blood
