<p dir="auto">This movie was made for its time, and I love that about it, but I wouldn't mind seeing an update, if for no other reason than it could draw more attention to the original.<br />
If that happened, who would you cast as Felix and Oscar? The best combo I could come up with is Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller.<br />
I know Vaughn annoys a lot of people, but his style would be perfect for Oscar, and Stiller is great at squirrelly (ala Gaylord Focker). The key would be to simply modernize the dialogue, and change very little else. Any thoughts?</p>

<p dir="auto">No more remakes. The Odd Couple has been done in so many different versions that it does not ever need to be done again!<br />
In 2002, Simon wrote an updated version of The Odd Couple, titled<br />
Oscar and Felix: A New Look at the Odd Couple<br />
. This version incorporated updated references and elements into the original storyline. This production ran at the Geffen Playhouse (Los Angeles) from June 2002 to July 21, 2002</p>
