While this movie is somehow regarded by die hard Peter Sellers fans (of which I am) as something of a low point in his films, I think it's brilliant.
Geoffrey Rush said something about people under forty think of this as the go to Sellers movie after the Panthers, so it may be something to do with that.
Here are a few things that make this comedy brilliant
1.) Physical comedy abounds. There are so many visual gags in this movie.
2.) Sellers really makes something of the Indian character, unlike the Millionairess, where he is comparatively less comical.
3.) The movie was largely improvised.
4.) Number 3, coupled with the fact that it's very clean (family friendly).
The movie also is a classic piece of late 60s cinema. The widescreen, the colors, the music, the house. Great stuff.
If you haven't seen this, I highly recommend it, especially if you like the Pink Panther films.

Nope, obviously it's still jammed up there pretty far. My sympathies to anybody who has to deal with your sourpussyness in person.

If that's the kind of response you come up with, then I would see why you find this film funny.

I hope after you turned it off you immediately went to the doctor, to have that 10 foot 2x4 extracted from your rectum.

I spent 30-40 minutes on this film, and didn't so much as snicker. I gave up and turned it off.
