. But does anyone else wish they'd mentioned that in the film?<br />
It would have made an <em>ironical</em> touch.<br />

<p dir="auto">Salt is considered holy. Its used in holy rituals in many religions, especially in Judaism.<br />
So that is why salt made Rosemary nauseous when she ate it (in the novel).<br />
