There's a short feature on him on the Criterion DVD.
He only made it through the 8th grade. I wish the filmmakers hadn't used him and returned him to the ghetto. Seems as cynical as the politicians and police they were indicting in the film.

What are you suggesting Haskell Wexler could have done? Taken Harold away from his family and raised him as his own? Made more films with him? Become his tutor?
