Can't believe people in the 21st century are still looking for guidance from a discredited guru from the sixties. Apparently there's still a residual core group of Lyman followers still active.then again, Charlie Manson still makes the news from time to time.

The two leads in this film, Mark Frechette and Daria Halprin, were members of a commune that Mel Lyman founded. Also, Mark Frechette donated proceeds he made from this film to Lyman's commune.
Wikipedia has all this, btw, if you look up Lyman and Frechette.
