As much as I love the original it won't work. Everybody today is too damn sensitive. I doubt they would be allowed to say all those names Archie used back in the day. It would be like six classic episodes. Like a mini series. However nobody but Carroll and jean can play Archie and Edith bunker!

My grandmother had it. I lived with her for three years. By the third year her short-term memory was shot to hell: no longer could she find her favorite channels on the TV remote. But she was coherent and knew who everyone was. She kept having strokes, is what did her in.
