Back when McMillan & Wife was a top-rated show, Hollywood Squares was also big and Paul Lynde was the center square.
I will never forget one of the funniest lines I ever heard. The contestant picked for the center square and Peter Marshal read the question:
Peter Marshal: "Rock Hudson said he had to get rid of something because it always smelled like cigarettes. What was it?"
Paul Lynde: "Susan Saint James!"
There was a huge road from the audience. I laughed out loud and still do every time I think of it.
By the way, the correct answer was his mustache.
