I was wondering if anyone had seen this episode. We were watching it late last night (July 26) and fell asleep before the murderer was found. Can someone fill us in as to who it was? Thanks.

I loved this episode. The train was to stop in Madera to pick up the Chief of Police who was going with Mac to L.A. for the "event." He was picked up in Madera as planned but in reality he had got on in disguise in San Francisco, killed the writer and jumped off the train and re-boarded as himself
