I only just discovered this nearly-forgotten 32-year-old gem recently - and was I impressed! It explores an era of the British monarchy which is often overlooked, at least amongst U.S. audiences.
For as old as this film is, it is superbly written and wonderfully acted by several iconic British actors - especially Vanessa Regrave, Nigel Davenport, Ian Holm, and a young Timothy Dalton.
As for the subject - what a sordid affair! Kind of makes Watergate look like child's play
"That's 30 minutes away. I'll be there in ten."

This is the first Vanessa Redgrave film I saw, and thought it was great. Hopefully, they'll release it on DVD soon, if it hasn't been already.

Yes it's great! I hear they are planning a remake of sorts with that redheaded girl from The Village.
