Pacino and Ms. Winn had amazing performances, however, I believe Kitty's job was simply outstanding. She deserved an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role, in my opinion.
What a beautiful and talented lady.
Hate is baggage, life's too short to be pissed off all the time.

I thought she was kind of dull and uninteresting in this movie. Her character became more interesting when she started going drugs and hooking but I could still see why her career never took off. Not a lot of energy or screen presence. Just my opinion.

One scene in particular where she's a hooker full blown talking to a "john" and she's acting like a hooker who is detached completely, it's amazing, occurs for about 20 seconds.

Im not surprised she didnt get a nomination. She's just OK, in my opinion. She has an Ali McGraw wooden feel to her delivery.

Odd brief career: this film, the EXORCIST and then a low-budget film called Mirrors ,where she looked very uncomfortable.
