and this film I consider to be two CLASSIC WESTERN, consudering the time it was made, VIET NAM was still going on, Civil Right, Women's Lib and Nudity and Cursing was no longer a big deal as it was just 10 years earlier. Burt Lancaster was still in his prime, Blue Eyes and all.

He did a trilogy, during this time. 'Valdez', 'Ulzana's' & 'Lawman' (also with Richard Jordan). All were excellent, with great supporting performances, IMHO.

He was an athlete and put his skills to use. In both movies, Lancaster appears to be riding trip wire horse falls.
