Yeah, he's in all of them, but the minute someone says "The Godfather" (or even 'godfather'), the image in my head is Marlon Brando in that tuxedo "on the day of his daughter's wedding".
I remember there were talks 20 years ago about Godfather IV, lol. I think Coppola probably had a change of heart after seeing so many ****ty "franchises"

Yes, Marlon Brando, but not for the trilogy. In that case it has to be Al Pacino.

Franklin was terrific. Brodie was a bit of a pretentious snob, but that is why I like her characterization. I love the setting and within her own means she meant well and she just challenged the conventions of the time. She wanted "her girls" to be free-thinkers. She just became dangerous in the sense that she was too politically ideologized.
I find the mannered aspect of Miss Brodie just perfect and I still found she had depth. The other great performance is from Celia Johnson as the headmistress, who is determined to get rid of Brodie.

I like Maggie Smith. But not in TPOMJB. She is soooo mannered in that movie and her character is, to me, so unlikable. That one girl who went off in the fighting spirit and got herself killed. Actually, that whole subplot seemed off to me. I have no idea if we are supposed to find Jean Brodie sympathetic or not. I thought she was a menace. I enjoy it when Pamela Franklin tells her off in the final scene. She needed it! I do think Franklin gave a really good performance in the movie.

He did, though I have no issue with the wonderful Maggie Smith's award for
The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie.
Caan plays a mentally slow ex-football player due to an injury. He is exceptional.
But before I looked at the choices and pictured the movie in my head, the first face I saw was Sonny's. So, James Caan would have been my most honest response.

I met Marlon Brando in LA a few years after he died.
He was shopping for groceries and I went up to him and told him what a fan I was and how I liked The Godfather and Apocalypse Now instead of capeshit. He was kind of weird about that and just said thank you, before returning to his shopping.
I pursued after him and showed him several screenshots I took of me arguing with Marvel fans online, I also loudly hummed 'The End' by The Doors. He told me he didn't know what that song was and that he only listened to music made by Native American artists. I was very confused by this and just drew closer to continue humming, at that point Brando pushed me away and said my smell was "stomach churning, indescribably offensive" to him.
I didn't really understand what he meant by that so I told him how much I enjoyed the cinematography in the temple scene and the use of darkness. I remarked that it reminded me a great deal of my friend Jacques, a black gentleman. Brando apparently took great offense to this and roared from his taciturn manner, he produced a club and beat me about the face and neck.
I grabbed onto his ankle from the floor and held him back as he made to walk away, begging for the man to hear me out. He resignedly crouched to my level when I asked him if he could recite the "horror" monologue to me, at this he stood up suddenly and called over a group of Native American youths. The young men beat me for several hours, often curbstomping me.
The encounter wasn't one of my better ones, but Brando's aggressive solution to the situation was very impressive to me. Will still be watching him in future roles.
