<p dir="auto">The original book written in 1938 and entitled Who Goes There was first made into a movie in 1951 as The Thing (From Another World). John Carpenter remade it with Kurt Russell in 1981 and then another movie, a prequel to Carpenter's version was made in 2011 as The Thing.</p>
