Same here. Some really great work here, and fine chemistry between them that you just know they were incredible pals, having the times of their lives.

Yes, every film I've seen Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in has been wonderful and this was certainly no exception. I have a philosophy that if either of them star in a film, you know it's going to be good.

It must have been an ordeal for Peter Cushing having just lost his wife. I think I remember reading that he nearly didn't get on the plane to Spain to make the film. It took a lot of encouragement from his friend Christopher Lee to get him to go through with it. Lucky for us that he did. Probably the chemistry of Cushing and Lee has never worked so well as it did in 'Horror Express.'

(Spoilers) Peter Cushing got to play his kindly, concerned, sweet-natured, scholarly, distinguished self in this film, and I am grateful that he agreed to be in it, even though he was in anguish over the death of his wife and felt too dispirited to participate. Christopher Lee's character was at times arrogant (the ticket office scene), selfish, and condescending, but in all is a good man who stays cool in an extraordinary situation. I love their chemistry in this film, and it is nice to see them not only alive, but victorious at the end.
