<p dir="auto">The shoreline cliff sure looks like the same location where Charlton Heston came across the Statue of Liberty at the end of Planet of the Apes (1968).<br />
I was just curious if anyone else thought that, too?</p>

<p dir="auto">According to <a href="http://reelstreets.com" rel="nofollow ugc">reelstreets.com</a>, this scene was filmed at Abalone Cove in Palos Verdes.  Although similar, the Planet of the Apes beach was actually the south end of Westward Beach in Malibu.</p>
